Job Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items at Tiki fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. This role requires consistency, speed, cleanliness, and teamwork while delivering flavorful, high-quality food that matches our coastal, tiki-inspired concept.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to our Tiki recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Set up and stock assigned stations with all necessary supplies
- Execute orders accurately and efficiently during high-volume service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Assist with prep work including cutting, marinating, breading, and batching
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperature throughout service
- Support closing and opening duties, including proper food storage and labeling
- Maintain a positive attitude and team-first mentality
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (seafood or grill experience a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must follow all safety and sanitation standards
Schedule Requirements
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Full-time and part-time positions available
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Exposure to heat, grills, fryers, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to bend, reach, and lift as needed
